Mauri Home Baker’s Buzz with De Cake Fortress

“I never had the intention of working in the corporate sector. I always wanted my space and mental satisfaction.”                                                                                               -Hussaina Magdon

Hussaina Magdon is the face behind De Cake Fortress. We hope you find your inspiration to get empowered!

Hussaina started her baking business in 2013 and never had second thoughts of doing her own thing right from the start. She was inspired by her mom who baked as a hobby and pursued cake decorating academically

There’s always a love & hate

I hate the oily pans and cleaning after baking whilst the expression on my customers face and their feedback makes it all worth the effort.

My Funny Baking Moment

When I had to do a naughty cake for a hen party and had to explain what it was to my mom since she happened to be around. I couldn’t explain but laugh.

A tense situation is When the power goes out while baking the cake.

How does one become an expert in home baking? Through experience and experimenting. Home baker’s are expected to maintain hygiene and quality and products are expected to be customized. Home baking empowers women and the market has good potential though competitive.
