You will need:
Flour 500g
Salt 10g
Egg 01 Nos.
Mauripan Low Sugar Yeast 10g
Warm Water 275g
Margarine 15g
Chopped garlic 05g
Chopped Onion 05g
Flour to dust and oil to grease
Here’s how to:
1. Mix dry ingredients – flour, salt and Mauripan Yeast in a bowl. Add egg and warm water gradually and mix 3-4 minutes till a soft dough is formed.
2. Add margarine, chopped garlic and onion and knead till a smooth texture is achieved.
3. Cover the dough with a wet cloth, place a plate on the bowl and keep aside for 1 hour.
4. Next knead the dough gently and portion out into 80g pieces with a dough cutter.
5. Roll the portioned dough into balls and shape into thick triangles. You may dust flour if required.
6. To prepare the Yeast Rotti heat the pan in medium flame. Apply a little oil on the surface of the shaped dough and place it on the pan. Now carefully invert the griddle and roast the rotti over the flame directly.
