How to make no bake cheesecake

Enjoy making this no bake cheese cake with mauri ingredients.  

*Biscuit base

Biscuit crumbs 160g 
Sugar 100g
Butter, melted  100g 

*Cheesecake base

Mauri whip topping mix 125g
Full-fat cream cheese 325g
Mauri icing  sugar
125g 
Mauri gelatin 30g
Red colouring few drops

*Filling

Fresh strawberry 
Mauri whip topping mix
Mauri strawberry fruit filling
   

Method :

To make the crust: mix sugar, biscuit and butter and put into a 9-inch  springform pan and pack in tightly. Freeze for 20 minutes as you prepare the filling.

Make the filling

Using a hand mixer whip the  whip topping mix into stiff peaks about 4-5 minutes. Set aside.

Mix Mauri gelatin with 2 Tbs. water and set aside.

Beat the cream cheese and Mauri icing sugar and whip topping  together on medium speed  for 10 mins  until perfectly smooth and creamy.

Add the prepared gelatin into the above mixture. 

Remove the crust from the freezer and spread filling into crust.

Keep it refrigerated for 2 hours.

Serve cheesecake with Mauri strawberry fruit filling or desired toppings. 

Vanilla Pudding Recipe

We’ve introduced a variety of desserts over the weeks. Here’s another! Try this delicious super easy dessert to enjoy with family this Eid. 

You will need:
*Fresh Milk                          450ml
*Castor Sugar                     125g
*Mauri Vanilla Powder       2 tsp.
*Butter                                 75g
*Egg Yolk                             03 Nos.
*Mauri Corn Flour                2 tbsp.
*Mauri Strawberry Filling and Fruits to garnish

Here’s how to:
1. Whisk fresh milk and castor sugar in a thick bottom pan in low flame till reached boiling point.
2. Once boiled turn off the fire and add Mauri vanilla powder, butter, egg yolk, Mauri corn flour and stir. 
3. Let it cool and pour into dessert glasses.
4. Garnish with Mauri Strawberry filling and fruits. 
5. Refrigerate for 1 hour and serve.

Butterscotch Pudding Recipe

You will need:
Fresh milk                       660g
Brown sugar                   210g
Mauri Corn flour            30g
Pinch of Salt
Eggs                                04Nos.
Mauri Vanilla Powder   1/4 tsp.
Butter                              45g
Maurimix Whipped Cream, chocolate or berries can be used for garnish

Here’s how to:
1.Scorch or caramelize brown sugar and butter under low flame.
2.Add fresh milk and whisk.
3.Add egg, salt, Mauri corn flour and Mauri vanilla powder and whisk till smooth. 
4.Cover and keep for about 1 hour till contents cool.
5.Pour contents to dessert glasses and garnish according to your preference. 
6.Store in refrigerator till set for at least 2 hours before serving. 

*If you want to get two layers of the pudding with a different colour you could caramelize another batch till a darker brown is achieved. 

Marshmallow Pudding Recipe

Food & festivities have a sense of warmth and creates a bond with friends and family. Here’s an easy pudding recipe that will add colour to the Ramadan festival in a few weeks time. Don’t forget to use the Mauri gelatin and vanilla powder for perfect results. 

You will need:
*Egg Whites      120g
*Fine Sugar        375g
*Mauri Gelatin    30g
*Water                  100g
*Mauri Vanilla Powder 1/4 tsp.
*Colours of your choice
*Pinch of salt

Here’s how to:
1. Dissolve Mauri gelatin in water and keep aside. 
2. Add a pinch of salt to egg whites and whisk till stiff.
3. Double boil gelatin till dissolved. 
4. Add sugar and gelatin to the whisked egg whites and whisk till stiff.
5. Divide to portions and mix in Mauri vanilla powder and desired colours.

*If the pudding is to be turned out grease the mould before pouring the mixture.

Easy Choco Chip Banana Muffins

Muffins soft and spongy and so yummy, we are super excited to share this banana muffin recipe with you!

With less ingredients to handle, less washing and cleaning thanks to the Maurimix Muffin Mix, you got to try this recipe out for its taste and convenience. Give your family a little treat for those breaking fast in this holy month of Ramadan. 

You will need:
Maurimix Vanilla Muffin Mix     350g
Vegetable Oil     130g
Eggs     03 Nos.
Water    100ml
Chopped Ripe Banana     140g
Chocolate Chips     100g

Here’s how to:

1. Prepare a muffin tray with cupcake liners.

2. Mix Maurimix Vanilla Muffin Mix with vegetable oil, eggs and water for 2 minutes at slow speed.

3. Increase speed to medium and continue mixing for 6 minutes.

4. Add ripe bananas and chocolate chip and mix well manually. 

5. Bake at 185-195 Centigrade for 18 to 20 minutes.

Easy Coconut Cake Recipe (පොල් කේක්)

අවුරුදු මේසෙට රසවත් පොල් කේක් එකක් පහසුවෙන් සාදා ගත හැකි රෙසපියක් බෙදා හදාගන්න අපි හිතුවා. මෙහි විශේෂත්වය වන්නේ පොල් පැනි වලට අමතරව ඔබට අමුද්‍රව්‍ය 2-3කින් කේක් එක හදාගන්න හැකි වීමයි.  

ඔබට අවශ්‍ය දේ:

බටර් හෝ මාගරින්      250g 
මෞරිමික්ස් බටර් කේක් මික්ස්    500g 
බිත්තර     07
පොල් පැණි     1 බෝතලයක් 
දිසන්දි පොල් (desiccated coconut)     750g 
කුරුඳු පොතු ස්වල්පයක් 

පොල් පැණි සාදන ක්‍රමය:

*පෘෂ්ඨය ඝන තැටියක පොල් පැණි නටන තෙක් රත්කරන්න. පසුව desiccated coconut හා කුරුඳු එකතු කරන්න

සාදන ක්‍රමය:
1. 8x 8″ කේක් තැටියක් ග්‍රීස් කර හෝ තෙල් කඩදාසියක් යොදා පිළියෙළ කරගන්න.
2. මධ්‍යම වේගයෙන් විනාඩි 2-3ක් බටර්/මාගරින් බීට් කරන්න.
3. මෞරිමික්ස් බටර් කේක් මික්ස් එක එකතු කර bowl එක වටේ විටින් විට සූරා විනාඩි 1ක් බීට් කරන්න.
4. බිත්තර ක්‍රමක්‍රමයෙන් එකතු කර විනාඩි 2-3ක් ඇතුලත බීට් කරන්න.
5. කේක් බැටරයට ක්‍රමක්‍රමයෙන් පිළියෙළ කරගත් පොල් පැණි එකතු කර මිශ්‍ර කරන්න.
6. උෂ්ණත්වය සෙල්සියස් අංශක 180-190 වන pre-heated oven එකක විනාඩි 50-55 බේක් කරන්න.එකතු කර

Easy Date Cake Recipe

It is in tradition to have a big spread of sweet meets for the Sinhala & Tamil New Year. The kavum, kokkis, athiraha, aluva decorate the table. A home made cake attracts the table too. 

This Date Cake recipe is super easy. 

You will need:
Margarine 250g
Maurimix Butter Cake Mix 500g
Eggs 07 Nos.
Chopped dates 250g (dusted with wheat flour)

Here’s how to:

1. Line a 8 x 8 baking tray.
2. Beat margarine 2 to 3 minutes at medium speed. 
3. Add the Maurimix Butter Cake Mix and continue beating for 2 minutes. Scrape the bowl from time to time while beating.
4. Add eggs in same speed and beat 4 to 5 minutes.
5. Mix in dates and bake in a pre-heated oven at 180 ⁰C-190⁰C for 50 to 55 minutes.

Red Velvet Cake Recipe

You will need:
*All-purpose Flour    340g
*Mauri Corn Flour    35g
*Mauri reddish cocoa powder   12g
*Mauri Baking Soda    01 tsp.
*Salt    03g
*Unsalted Butter    115g (softened at room temperature)
*Granulated Sugar    425g
*Vegetable Oil    240ml 
*Large Eggs    03 nos.
*Mauri Vanilla Powder 1/2 tsp. 
*Vinegar    1.2tsp
*Red food colouring    2-3 tsp. (depends on the brand of food colouring)
*Buttermilk    240ml
Add 1 tbsp. of lemon juice or white vinegar, mix and let it sit for 30 minutes

Here’s how to:

1. Preheat oven to 180°C.
2. Sift together flour, Mauri corn flour, Mauri reddish cocoa powder, Mauri baking soda, salt and set aside.
3.  Beat together butter and sugar on medium speed until light and fluffy. 
4. Add vegetable oil and continue to beat. 
5. Add eggs one by one, mixing well between each addition.
6.  Add Mauri vanilla powder and vinegar and beat till combined. 
7. Add red food colouring till desired colour is reached. 
8. Add half of the dry ingredients prepared in step 2. at slow speed to the above mixture. 
9. Add buttermilk, followed by the remaining dry ingredients and mix. Avoid over mixing of the red velvet cake batter. 
10. Transfer to a lined baking tray and bake at 180°C – 190°C for 35 to 40 minutes. 

To decorate the red velvet cake the Maurimix Whip Topping Mix is highly recommended for a creamy frosting. 

For cupcakes pour red velvet cake batter into cupcake liners and bake at 180°C for 15 – 20 minutes.

Red Velvet Brownie Recipe

Valentine’s Day and red velvet sets the tone for some romance…but wait! What if he likes brownies too??? This Red Velvet Brownie Recipe will win him over. 

Red Velvet Brownie

The perks of preparing the Maurimix brownie batter is that you save time as there is no melting of chocolate in the process and the mix is formulated to make fudge brownies. 

For the brownie base

You will need:
*Maurimix Brownie Mix    350g
*Margarine    120g
*Eggs    1 1/2 Nos. (85g)
*Water    50g

Here’s how to:
1. Melt margarine and leave to cool slightly.
2. Add eggs and water to the slightly warm margarine and beat till fluffy. 
3. Add the Maurimix brownie mix to the above and hand mix till mixed thoroughly. Do not over mix.
4. Leave contents in the mixing bowl and start on the red velvet cake batter.

6.  Add Mauri vanilla powder and vinegar and beat till combined. 
7. Add red food colouring till desired colour is reached. 
8. Add half of the dry ingredients prepared in step 2. at slow speed to the above mixture. 
9. Add buttermilk, followed by the remaining dry ingredients and mix. Avoid over mixing of the red velvet cake batter. 

Getting ready to bake!

1. Mix the Maurimix Brownie Mix batter carefully and pour into a lined 1.5Kg square baking pan, less than 1 inch in height. 
2. Carefully pour the red velvet cake batter over. 
3. Bake at 165°C-170°C for 35-45 minutes. 
4. Unload the red velvet brownie to a cooling rack and cut into squares. Enjoy! 

If you would like to try out red velvet cupcakes you could reduce the baking time to 15-20 minutes. 

Vanilla Rice Pudding Recipe

Thai Pongal is a festival for a bountiful harvest celebrated by Hindus. A pot of milk is boiled for prosperity and milk rice is prepared using the milk.

To join with the festivities here is our Mauri Vanilla Rice Pudding.

You will need

*Mauri vanilla powder   1/4 tsp.
*Maurimix whip topping powder   25g
*White raw rice   250g
*Water   400ml
*Fresh milk   300ml
*Brown sugar   125g
*Sultanas   75g
*Pinch of salt
*Cashew to garnish

Here’s how to

1. Cook washed rice with water for approximately 10 minutes in a thick bottom pan in medium fire.

2. Dissolve Maurimix whip topping powder with fresh milk and add into the rice along with a pinch of salt and Mauri vanilla powder. Keep stirring for 8-10 minutes in low fire, till rice absorbs the milk. 

3. Add sugar and raisins and continue to cook. Add sugar last to avoid sugar caramelization. 

4. Serve portions and garnish with cashew. 

The vanilla rice pudding can be enjoyed both hot or cold, for four persons with this recipe.
